Services

We offer RICS Level 2 Home Surveys and RICS Level 3 Building Surveys for residential properties across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.

Each survey is designed to provide an assessment of the property's condition, helping clients understand any significant defects, maintenance issues and areas requiring further attention before purchase.

Which Survey Do I Need?

Choosing the most appropriate survey depends on the age, condition, construction and complexity of the property.

Older, altered or non-standard properties will often benefit from a Level 3 Building Survey, whereas a Level 2 Home Survey is generally suitable for conventional properties of traditional construction and reasonable condition.

If you are unsure which survey is most appropriate, please contact us and we will be happy to provide guidance based on the property you are considering purchasing.

Inspections are carried out using a combination of traditional surveying techniques and modern technology to help provide a thorough assessment of the property.

Reports include clear descriptions, condition ratings and supporting photographs to help clients understand the property's condition and any significant defects identified during the inspection.

Where appropriate, drone technology may be used to assist with the inspection of roofs, chimney stacks and other high-level elements that may not be readily visible from ground level.

Drone Roof Inspection

*Drone technology may be used where appropriate to assist with the inspection of roofs, chimney stacks and other high-level elements. Its use is subject to site conditions, weather, access restrictions and applicable regulations and cannot be guaranteed for every inspection. Where a drone inspection cannot be undertaken, the survey will proceed using alternative inspection methods where appropriate. As drone inspections form part of the overall survey service, no reduction in the survey fee will apply where drone technology cannot be used.
